His last textbook "Refinements in Facial and Body Contour," was released worldwide by Lippincott-Raven. It has been translated to Portuguese as “Refinementos em Cirurgia Estética da Face e do Corpo” and distributed by Editora Santos. His two books by Springer-Verlag, were important milestones in showing new plastic surgery techniques. The manual "Superficial Liposculpture" was considered one of the most important textbooks of plastic surgery of the nineties. "Circumareolar Techniques for Breast Surgery" is the textbook that explains the limits of this important breast technique. Dr. Toledo has edited twelve plastic surgery textbooks.
He has contributed countless chapters to other surgeons’ books and published more than 50 scientific papers in Brazilian and International publications. He has given more than 60 teaching courses about Aesthetic Surgery and organized 15 international congresses and symposiums. As ISAPS Course Director from 1994 to 2000 he organized courses in SYDNEY-Australia, BALTIMORE-USA, VALLE NEVADO-Chile, ATHENS-Greece, NAPA-USA , VICTORIA FALLS- Zimbabwe and MUNICH-Germany.
